Chatsworth is the first three-part British television documentary series to be broadcast on BBC One in 2012. It's documented, over 2011, the contemporary life at Chatsworth House in Derbyshire, England that, as the Duke of Devonshire family chair, employs 700 staff to keep 300 house rooms, plus 35,000 acres estate, embraces 62 farms and three villages.

Episode satu

The first program joins the 12th duke and the duchess as a house is being prepared to be opened to the public on Sunday 13th March 2011. This is the busiest time of the year for house staff and everyone has a role to play including duke and duchess as they join the garbage selection annual plantations around.

Youngest and first female driver Heather Redmond was in probation and if he got the job it would be responsible for sixty drivers who some of them had been working in Chatsworth ever since he was born.

The Chatsworth award-winning farm shop is headed by manager Andre Birkett who has worked for the family, starting in the kitchen of the house. He is now responsible for 120 staff and an annual turnover of more than five million pounds.

When winter turns into spring, it is the breeding season at 62 farms, and farm manager Ian Turner, who has 32 years of service leads us on a farm tour, where he shows a sheep adopting a rejected sheep.

Episode two

This episode concentrates on two of 16 special events that provide income to support home maintenance. The duchess leads the Chatsworth International Horseracing Competition, 75 fences on a 300-acre court, which in 2011 was an official qualifier for the London Olympics.

The 2011 season saw the third annual Chatsworth flower festival, Florabundance, and spring weather issues that did not necessarily make tulips flowers faster than the schedule and attacks by Pheasants, Rabbit, and rats, leaving the designer Jonathan Moseley flowers short 5,000 short-lived just days ahead of big opening.

Another problem is the tablecloth in the large dining room that is too rigid and impossible to iron with the public only see the wrinkles and not the grand table settings.

Episode three

Summer and Chatsworth have undergone a £ 14 million pound renovation to clean the stone and gild the window frame and finial with gold leaf. The episode ended with the removal of scaffolding and the Duke, Duchess, and staff celebrated the record year.
