Hammond's Life After Debt published by Career Press in 2000 was the third in a series of popular self-help books, first published in 1993. It discusses some warning signs of credit problems such as minimum payments, use a credit card to get a deposit. Even suggested to cut it. Life Without Debt sees the psychology behind debt reduction and how people are tempted into situations where they make bills they can not pay. In his 2001 publication, Improve Your Own Credit , he wrote that 70% of Americans have degrading information in their credit history and to be wary of companies that charge upfront several hundred dollars to clear credit someone.
