Electrodry is a carpet cleaning organization based in Newcastle, New South Wales. Electrodry was founded in 1983 by Paul Burchell. In 1984, Electrodry started its franchise operations with the first franchise sale in Gosford, New South Wales. Electrodry expanded operations to have 100 franchise members in 2009. Electrodry also operates in New Zealand and during the period 1987 to 1989 operates in the US.
Electrodry uses a carpet cleaning system called hood cleaning, commonly referred to as dry cleaning carpets. Electrodry manufactures the main chemicals used in Electrodry carpet cleaning systems.
Electro service includes seat cleaning, mattress cleaning, and tile cleaning. Electrodry is a certified company of The Clean Trust, the unofficial body of the carpet cleaning industry. From 2009 to 2015 Electrodry is supported by the National Asthma Council's Sensitive Choice program for services including carpet cleaning.
In 2015, the Federal Court fined Electrodry for fake reviews following the actions of the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.
