Episodes

Episode One

Genuine update: July 13, 2011

For their first challenge, the designers are divided into pairs. Their job is to create living space within and around one shipping container in four days and with a $ 25,000 budget.

Steven's and Lisa's spaces were well received, even though they were punished for spending $ 4000 more than the budget. Dee and Leigh's room with a modular deck was praised, and Dee finally won the challenge. In the end, Craig & amp; Jo, and Robert and Mary's rooms most impress the judges, but the dignified Craig pays the highest price for having an incompetent carpenter who can not finish the job assigned to him.

  • Winner: Dee Tang
  • Eliminated: Craig Voltz

Episode Two

Genuine update: July 20, 2011

The designers are divided into three teams and tasked with turning a small studio apartment into a bachelor for celebrity clients; actor Daniel Amalm, ironman Caine Eckstein, or radio carrier Ant & amp; Beck. The team has a 15,000 budget for the challenge.

During the challenge, Jo had to be taken to the hospital after receiving an electric shock while cleaning the wall. Meanwhile, Dan constantly attacks the head with Steve & amp; Lisa over their design; his teammates feel he is becoming very defensive towards them. Nevertheless, their rooms are unanimously considered the best of the week, with Dan having the top design. Leigh, Jo and Mary had the most unimpressive designs, considered too safe and boring by the jury, and it was Mary who was knocked out after the judges felt that she contributed the least to their room.

  • Winner: And Stephens
  • Eliminated: Mary Tarling

Episode Three

Genuine Update: July 27, 2011

This week's episode shows two different challenges. For the first challenge, the designers are divided into teams to create a quiet outdoor oasis above the parking garage, based on one of four elements. Open spaces are also required to convey a sense of privacy.

During the assessment, Jamie stated that everyone's quality of work is very high, making elimination very difficult. Robert wins with his Mediterranean-inspired garden and Lisa, complete with a screen on it. Although their bushfire theme parks are well received, Leigh and Kai are placed under two for not conveying a sense of privacy and tranquility in their design. In the end, Leigh was knocked out, as the judge felt he was too focused on the construction and not quite on the design.

  • Winner: Robert Davidov
  • Eliminated: Leigh Mccrabb

The second challenge shows two parts. The designers were first tasked with designing seats individually within a two-hour period. Dee's chair was voted the best, and he chose to work individually for the second part of the challenge. Other designers are paired and assigned to create a room designed around one or both of the team's seats.

Throughout the challenge, Dan & amp; Robert clashed with their designs, choosing to incorporate their own personal style into their rooms. However, their unique designs were very well received, and Robert won his second challenge in a row. Jo & amp; The Kai Kai's French working room was too empty, and they were placed in the bottom two. The judges struggled to make a decision, and Kai was saved because of his decision to create a dressing room raised in the middle of the room, thus sending Jo home to the bottom third.

  • Winner: Robert Davidov
  • Eliminated: Jo Bursill

Episode Four

Genuine update: August 3, 2011

Immediately after the final elimination, Jamie announces that three new designers will join the competition, many of which make everyone anxious. For the next challenge, nine designers are divided into three teams and challenged to create high end, expensive hotel suites based around an international theme. The team has three days and a budget of $ 50,000 for the challenge.

All the contestants have varying degrees of difficulty to warm up to their new teammates, but no more than Dan, who constantly clashed with Karl and his equally boisterous personality. At the other end of the scale, Robert feels that Dee and Chris are getting too close and not pulling their own burden in the challenge. Nevertheless, the judges liked their New York-inspired rooms, and Robert won his third challenge in a row. The French Provincial suite was the most impressive for the judges, and Kai's diminished performance in the competition sent him home.

  • Winner: Robert Davidov
  • Eliminated: Kai Ieraci

Episode Five

Original Drivers: August 10, 2011

This week the designers are split into several pairs and assigned to renovate a rundown old caravan for certain clients. They soon discover that their client is a member of their family. The team has 3 days and $ 10,000 for the challenge.

Both Lisa and Robert struggle to work with their partners, with Robert and Karl constantly bickering over the challenge. Dee and Steve are winners of the challenge together, the juries love their inspired design. Katrina was knocked out of the competition because the judge felt there was no design in her caravan. Jamie announces that Lisa is also to blame for their loss, and wants to eliminate it too, when Karl voluntarily leaves the show, declaring family illness as the reason.

  • Winner: Steve Trupp
  • Eliminated: Katrina
  • Postpone: Karl

Episode Six

Original Air Date: August 17, 2011

The remaining designers were first tasked with treating furniture items from recycled objects. It was also announced that to win the last challenge, Steve has won immunity this week. Once their pieces are finished, it is revealed that everyone will work individually to create a space based around their creations, especially using recycled furniture.

The jury was very impressed with Dee, Chris and Steve, and both Chris and Steve have won the challenge because the judge can not be satisfied with one straight winner. Robert was criticized for using too much new material in his room, and he was finally under two. However, it was Dan who was knocked out because of his unstable and unmeasurable recycle table, and for not being able to finish and clean his room properly within the time limit.

  • Winner: Steve Trupp & amp; Chris
  • Eliminated: And Stephens
