Spring cleaning is the practice of cleaning the house thoroughly in the spring. Sprinkle cleaning practices mainly occur in climates with winter. In many cultures, annual cleansing occurs at the end of the year, which may be in spring or winter, depending on the calendar.
The term is also used metaphorically for any kind of heavy duty cleaning or organizing company. Someone who takes care of their affairs before the audit or examination can be said to do the spring cleaning.

History
Some researchers track the origins of spring cleaning into Nowruz Iran, the Persian New Year, which falls on the first day of spring. Iran continued the practice of khooneh tekouni (literally "shake the house") just before the Persian New Year. Everything in the house is thoroughly cleaned, from curtains to furniture.
Another possibility has been shown that the spring cleaning origins date back to ancient Jewish practices of cleaning the house thoroughly in anticipation of the Easter Spring festival (Pesach). In recalling Israel's hasty flight from Egypt following their imprisonment there, during the weeklong Passover festivities, there is a strict prohibition on eating or drinking anything that may have been leavened or fermented with yeast (Exodus 12:15, 19). Jews should not only refrain from leavened foods (chametz), they are expressly ordered to clean their homes from small chametz remnants during the holiday period (Exodus) 12 : 15). Therefore, obedient Jews undertook a thorough "spring cleansing" from the house, followed by traditional hunting for chametz chametz crumbs by candlelight on the night before the holidays started.
Traditionally, the Catholic Church has thoroughly cleansed the church altar and everything associated with it on Holy Thursday, the day before Good Friday, in the spring. Spring cleanup takes place today in Greece, and other Orthodox countries. It is traditional to clean the house thoroughly either before or during the first week of Great Lent, referred to as Clean Week. This also often corresponds to the New Year of Julian, or April 1st.
In North America and Northern Europe, the habit of finding practical value is mainly due to the continental and wet climates of these areas. During the 19th century in America, before the arrival of vacuum cleaners, March was often the best time to clean the dust because it was warm enough to open windows and doors (but not warm enough for insects to be a problem), and strong winds could bring dust out of home. This time of year also when the coal furnace will not run and you can wash all the soot off the walls and furniture left by the stove. For the same reason, modern rural households often use March for cleaning projects involving the use of smoke-generating chemical products.

A similar tradition has an annual cleansing in winter.
In Scotland, "New Year's Cleaning" traditionally took place on Hogmanay (31 December), a practice that is now also widespread in Ireland and North America.
In Japan, ? S? Ji ( ??? , "big cleanup") done at the end of December, before new year on January 1st. This was preceded by the tradition of milk-harish ( ??? , "soot cleaners") during the Edo period (1603-1868 ), which was observed on December 13 and cleaned the house to welcome toshigami (god of the year).
