Biography

MacKenzie was born in Rothiemurchus, Aviemore in the Cairngorms mountains of the Scottish Highlands.

One of Mackenzie's first jobs was to work for the Secret Intelligence Service. It was Mackenzie's position with Good Housekeeping that caused him to be asked to take a screen test for a new event that would be How Clean is Your House? . MacKenzie's screen test was successful and he teamed up with professional sanitary cleaner Kim Woodburn in August 2002. MacKenzie is known for his down-to-earth approach to cleaning with Scotland, with no nonsense, as he and Woodburn educate people on how to keep themselves and their homes clean, hygienic and neat. Despite wearing a lab coat (white) in the show and swabbing the dirtiest areas for laboratory testing, he lacks any academic or professional qualifications in microbiology. This duo has produced books, games and DVDs due to the popularity of their performances. MacKenzie has also appeared on the The Oprah Winfrey Show in the US, where How Clean Is Your House? aired on BBC America channel.

During the US $ 10 million documentary, MacKenzie labeled Wikipedia "Stupedia" to include a "ridiculous rumor" that was not referred to about the offer of a multi-million pound sterilized television contract.

She appeared as a guest presenter at the day-to-day STV lifestyle event The Hour , with Stephen Jardine's main anchor for two days in September 2009 and for four days in April 2010. Scottish magazine program airs on weekdays 17:00..

She participated in the 2011 series Celebrity Masterchef . In December 2012, Aggie presented the ITV Storage Hoarders program, which returns for the second series in August 2013.
